Domingas A. Duarte, 92, of Central Falls, RI entered into eternal rest on March 14th, 2024 at the R.I Hospital in Providence, RI. She was the devoted wife of Antonio Manuel Duarte, they were married for 70 years. Born in Brava, Cape Verde Island to the late Joao Leite Costa and Rose Andrade Costa.

She is survived by her son Avelino Duarte, daughters Maria Duarte, Matilda Duarte Rodrigues, Benilda Duarte Costa, Claudia Duarte and Nilza Amaral, siblings Maria Senna, Hilda Britto, Cidalia Lopes and Belarmino Costa, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grand child Saint Rodrigues, many nieces and nephews. She also was blessed with her three bonus daughters Medina Duarte, Grace DaGraca and Ines Cano. She was the mother of the late Francisco Duarte, Joao Duarte, Izaura Duarte, Manuel Duarte, and sister to the late Jose Costa, Manuel Costa, Djuca Costa and Matilda Valles.

Domingas worked for over 20 years at Monet Jewelry in Pawtucket, RI until her retirement and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. When family and friends visited she made sure they ate and had enough to bring a goodie bag home. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and making sure we all know that she was the Matriarch of our home. She was known for her generosity, kindness and compassion towards others. She brought joy and laughter into our family and was courageous and strong through all her life's challenges. She will be greatly missed, especially by her beloved husband Antonio Duarte, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends but never forgotten.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you, especially to her CNA Deolinda and care providers from Morning Star.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20th 2024 from 4pm-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 21st 2024 DIRECTLY at St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave. at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
